Max Armstrong talks about the need for rural high-speed internet access.
There's something missing in the drive to bring technology to farmers: high-speed internet access. In spite of the fact that access has come a long way, there are still a lot of people who beg for high-speed access. In the U.S., 87 percent of the population has access, but farmers are disproportionately affected. And now more than ever with precision technology, those farmers need sufficient connectivity.
Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
