Max Armstrong looks at the changing market for real Christmas trees
Max Armstrong shares that there was a shortage of real Christmas trees for 2018, and the cause was the Great Recession of 2008 which had tree farms planning less for the future. There’s also competition from permanent trees. And there’s the challenge of changing weather that has impacted key growing areas from the Pacific Northwest and the Carolinas.
Farm Progress America is a daily look at key issues in agriculture. It is produced and presented by Max Armstrong, veteran farm broadcaster and host of This Week in Agribusiness.
